Harbour Sleep - Hostel

The place was cheap and good value, with a cozy mattress, early self check-in, and a convenient location. Lidl is a minute's walk away. The toilet arrangements weren't managed well: once, I went into the ladies' bathroom and found a man showering in one of the women's showers, while another person in just panties was shaving his beard. They didn't seem to care that they were in the wrong bathroom. Laundry also costs extra. You have to buy another card and load it with 50DK, so doing laundry comes with an additional cost. Most guests seem to stay only one or two nights, so buying a second card for just one load doesn't make much sense.

The harbor is right there, with shops and restaurants within walking distance, and Slævasted is close by if you want an evening drink. The room is basic, but it has the essentials: a bed, chairs, a table for enjoying the terrace and harbor buzz, plus a kettle, cups, and spoons for coffee. What more do you really need? Thanks for the quick, easy service and the lovely warm bed. My wife says this is where we'll book next time.

I really enjoyed watching the harbor and the sunrise behind it. The kitchen was great and helped keep food costs down, and I had good contact with the service team. Carsten gave me such good service, far beyond what I expected. The place was super cozy, with everything I needed and good service. It was a bit cramped for two on a rainy day, but as a solo traveler that was no problem. I'd happily stay again.

Marie's kitchen is next door and has delicious food and drinks. Breakfast from Lidl was okay, and the host Carsten was welcoming and good at finding solutions. Everything worked. I liked the idea and the harbor location in Nexø, but the room was only okay and the furnishings weren't. The beds and other household items seemed to be the cheapest quality, maybe theft protection in itself? One toilet serves up to 20 people, and the bathroom is only suitable for an ultra-short shower.
