Nyborg Strand Hotel & Konference

This was my second visit, and I found it very disappointing. The new rooms are cheaply furnished and decorated. There was a wall-mounted table fan, a cheap kettle on a tray, and a plastic shower hose that was awkward to deal with. It made me wonder whether the book celebrating the hotel’s first 100 years was paid for by cutting back on the guest experience, leaving little chance of a second centenary. With the lounge closed, the Bistro was the only option for lunch and dinner. At 7 PM it was nearly full, so I planned to return later. Just before 9 PM it was empty, but several tables hadn’t been cleared. I waited five minutes to be seated while staff looked over and ignored me. One was scrolling on a phone. I gave up and went back to my room. There were no hot drinks except the instant coffee in the room, and the bar was closed too. That left the Bistro, where I was ignored, or driving to nearby fast food restaurants.

The food speaks for itself, just look at the picture. My veggie burger was a 10/10. The spa is a hidden gem, and the staff are top of the line. Keep an eye out for dolphins in the sea!

I was there for an event and didn’t use the rooms. The staff were friendly and provided nice service. The place was clean and quiet, with active people working hard without making a fuss. 👌👌

The room was clean, and breakfast was decent, with enough to eat though not many options. The hotel is by the beach, and the staff are friendly. I also enjoyed the spa, especially the warm pool and sauna. Very relaxing.
