There are seven rooms in this lovely little B&B, set back from the street, so it’s very quiet. The small kitchen is handy: breakfast is kept in the fridge, and you can take it to eat in your room. It was very clean and well located. Parking is available in the courtyard if your car is small enough for the entrance; otherwise, there’s a paid car park right in front. The soundproofing isn’t perfect, so you can hear people going to the kitchen, but with only two rooms occupied during our stay, it was truly perfect.

We arrived in Odense without a plan at 17 and needed somewhere for the night. I spoke to Jens by phone at 18, and he was so helpful and kind. The room was lovely and clean, with two single beds. It’s simple, but there’s a good breakfast, a self-service kitchen, and toilets and showers down the hall. Everything felt cozy and quiet right in the middle of the city, and the price was totally fair. Thank you, I’ll recommend it.

The location is great, on the edge of the city center, and the rooms are nicely furnished with acceptable mattresses. The bathrooms look recently renovated, and they’re modern and tidy. There are only two for seven rooms, though, so mornings and evenings can mean queues. The self-service breakfast is fine, but the small, narrow kitchen often gets crowded. People tend to give dishes only a rough wash and handle food straight from packets, which feels unhygienic. The courtyard parking entrance is extremely narrow and not manageable with a mid-range car. Noise was the biggest issue for us: the walls let voices and sounds through, the wooden floors creak under every footstep, and nights were often loud. Rooms near the bathrooms were especially prone to waking us up repeatedly.

The owner was friendly and the price was decent. This B&B is right in the heart of Odense, with a tiny shared kitchen and two shared bathrooms. Once you’re okay with that setup, it’s just fine. Sound carries easily through the building, so bring earplugs, keep your door shut, and keep your voice down.

Dorte was a graceful, caring host, and the house was well kept and decorated. The room was spacious, and the location is good, about a 10-minute walk from the train station. There are only stairs, so you may need to do some lifting with a suitcase. Breakfast costs extra, but fruit, coffee, and tea are available all day at no charge. A very enjoyable stay. I’d love to come back.
