We liked the location, close to two supermarkets, a bus stop and the train station, but the stay was poor value for the high cost. The owners' attitudes, the breakfast, cleanliness and house rules were all disappointing. The room's decor was dated, and the wiring seemed well overdue for replacement. The fire alarm was just a domestic smoke detector, which I don't think is suitable for a commercial hotel. The shower floor and drain were disgusting and needed a proper bleach clean. See photo. Breakfast had very little choice, and as vegetarians we had even fewer options. On the first morning, when the lady owner asked what we'd like, we requested an omelette and toast, but she said nothing would be cooked for us. The next day she reluctantly agreed to make omelettes, so at least we had something to eat. The lady owner was unpleasant and aggressive towards us throughout our stay. She made us feel like a nuisance, which isn't a nice way to treat paying guests. The gentleman owner had an odd sense of humour, though nothing too bad at first. On our second night, two local friends joined us in a small lounge for a chat and a few beers. A male staff member had already given my friend permission for the four of us to sit there. At about 21:30, the gentleman owner came in and spoke at length to our friends in Danish, which we don't speak. As he left, he made a sarcastic comment in English about us drinking beer he hadn't supplied. There were no signs saying this was forbidden, we weren't in the bar area, and we already had permission. Only after he left did we learn he'd told someone to end our gathering because he wanted to lock up and go to his quarters for the night. It was just 21:30. He chose not to speak to us, the guests paying the bill. Save yourselves a headache and go elsewhere.

Breakfast was very good, and we loved staying at this small hotel in a beautiful part of Denmark.

The restaurant's evening meal was excellent. We stayed for two nights; our room was a little tired, but it was clean and comfortable.

It's a nice, warm place, but the food was much too salty. When I said the soup was too salty, the waitress told me I was the only one saying that. She was wrong. This was my first and last time here, though I think they have a chance to improve.
