Randbøldal Camping & Cabins

The whole place felt like a little village, with trampolines, water fun and other things for the children. There was even a paid laundry option. The showers and toilets were clean and close to our spot, though they’re in two separate buildings around the area. We arrived in the evening without a Booking and found a place for our car, which is where we slept, in our small car. The staff were so nice and friendly. There was a language barrier with the gentleman, but we managed to chat, him in Danish and me in Swedish, Finnish Swedish, and we understood each other. ☺️ If you’re going to Legoland, this is absolutely the place to stay for a night or two! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The big playground was fun for the kids, though some of the equipment was broken and could use a bit of TLC. Staff were friendly and the service was fine. There was also a bar and grill, breakfast service and a small shop, which was nice. Our cabin was old enough that you could see through the wall, and it was cold. It felt overpriced, though we did visit during the busiest part of the summer.

The toilet facilities are a little dated, but they’re spacious and comfortable. You can hear some noise from the fish farm next door, though it isn’t too loud. Booking online worked flawlessly, and we were welcomed and allowed to pick our own tent spot. The campsite runs along both sides of the swimming pond, and we chose the west side. The spots aren’t marked at all, and many are taken by seasonal guests. Outside the weekends in the off season, when they’re away, the site gets very quiet.

We didn’t have a car, but Mr Eigil picked us up at the bus stop and took us to Legoland. The next day he came to get us again, and the day after that he dropped us at Vajle so we could catch a train to Copenhagen. I loved the owner of this place. I’ve never met such an amazing man. I wish I could give him a hug and pass on my regards.
