Hotel Randers

We loved our six-night stay and highly recommend the hotel when visiting Jutland. The rooms were clean and well appointed, and the bed, pillows, and individual duvets were a dream. Breakfast was magnificent.

We've stayed here twice and will be back again. The hotel is wonderfully charming, right in the heart of Randers. The staff welcomed us, the room was clean, and breakfast was great. The chef even took time to meet and greet guests.

The old hotel looks lovely and is in a great location, but our room smelled like sewage. We noticed a strange smell when we arrived in the afternoon, then went out since we were only in town for one night. When we got back late, it was much more obvious, coming up through the bathroom drains, including the shower and sink. We opened the window and kept the bathroom door shut overnight. By morning, opening that door was like opening a sewer, so we showered in the sauna facility instead. At checkout, we told the front desk guy. He wrote it down on a piece of paper and gave us a quick smile, without apologizing. It seemed this wasn't a surprise. I understand it's an old hotel with plumbing problems, but guests shouldn't be put in a room that reeks like an open sewer, and then have the issue brushed off. Beware!

There was nothing I liked about this hotel. The breakfast was the worst, with very runny eggs, no milk, and a bad toaster. The room was too hot, and when I complained, they told me to open a window. Everyone was so loud that I couldn't sleep, and there's no air conditioning. Honestly, everything was bad, including the breakfast. If you want a comfortable stay, don't go here. The other reviews are lies, so don't listen to them. Sure, the building is old, but who cares? Work on making the hotel better, then people can start praising its age. Save your money and stay somewhere that will look after you. Never go here. Thank you.
