The breakfast was excellent, and the service really stood out. Lucas at reception deserves a special mention, nothing seemed like too much trouble for him. We spent two nights here for a family wedding in Ringsted. It’s a nice modern hotel with a sauna and fitness facilities, and I’d stay here again if I’m in the area. Andy

The room was spacious and had all the usual amenities. It’s also conveniently located, not far from the main road to Copenhagen, and the reception staff made us feel very welcome.

We booked a room meant to have a sofa bed and a double bed, but found two double beds instead, leaving the room very cramped. The restaurant was listed as open but was actually closed. Breakfast also fell short of Scandic standard. How can a hot breakfast not include bacon?

The rooms were clean and good quality, and the staff were really friendly. Breakfast was good too, though I missed having fresh juice and don’t like the machine juice. The bar service was poor. I had to go to the desk to ask whether I was supposed to pour my own beer, and it seems they still haven’t learned, because it’s still happening.

The view from the higher floors is good, and the breakfast was the one real bright spot for me: varied and modern. That’s why I gave it two stars instead of one. Scandic Ringsted feels run down and isn’t very nice. The rooms, common areas, and restaurant have all been neglected for years.
