Konference & Hotel Klinten

The hotel sits right by the harbor, and it’s about a 2 km walk to a UNESCO site. It’s an excellent place for a conference, with delicious food from the kitchen.

The dinner BBQ buffet and breakfast were excellent. There wasn’t a reception, just a basket with an envelope and a key. The room had no table for a suitcase or bedside spot for a phone and other things. The shower worked okay, but it was very small and feels ready for an upgrade to 2025.

The hotel is tucked between a small town or village, a beach, and a large forest. If you enjoy nature, the forest is worth visiting for its many plants and different kinds of animals that aren’t afraid of people. I came from abroad for a three-day intensive course and booked two extra nights. I arrived very late, after reception had closed. A quick call to the number on the desk got me a friendly woman who directed me to the box outside, where my room key and a welcome note were waiting. She also told me to talk with the chef about my special diet. The chef was young, cheerful, and, as I later found out, extremely creative and talented. She offered to make me a meal after my long trip. I was too tired and declined, but the offer was incredibly kind. That warm feeling lasted right through the end of my stay. This was the greatest hotel experience I’ve had. I hope I get to return, and I’d warmly recommend booking a few days here.

The view is stunning, and the beach is right next to the hotel. Breakfast was great, and the surroundings were clean and quiet. There’s a nice village nearby too. The room furniture is a bit dated, and although the rooms are good, they’re nothing extravagant. The walls are thin, so you can hear your neighbours.
