The houses are a bit dated, so check carefully which one you book. Ours had a dishwasher, oven, TV, washing machine, and dryer, but those things aren’t guaranteed. Apart from that, we had a great week in the off-season and would recommend staying here. We might come back next year. It’s a good base for visiting the beautiful Danish island of Rømø, with an outdoor kids’ playground and jumping pillow, a pool, an indoor playroom with toys, and a restaurant.
The pool and sauna are good and everything is very clean. There’s plenty to do for families with younger kids, including playgrounds. Pay and Play golf is next door, horse riding is nearby at Thomsens Ridecenter, and the area works well as a base for hikes and geocaching. It would be nice to have some sunbeds indoors in autumn and spring, so there’s somewhere to relax after the sauna. In the off- and pre-season, staff are hard to find. The center’s hours also don’t always reflect how busy the place is. It can be fully booked in May, yet the pool closes at 3:00 p.m.
The beach here is the widest in Europe, which makes it great for walks, swimming, or flying a kite when the weather cooperates. A lovely spot by the water in Denmark for couples, families, friends, really anyone looking to spend quality time. Highly recommended 👍👍
We’ve been coming for over a decade, but unfortunately the place has slipped a bit. The caretaker doesn’t speak English or German, and pool hours don’t seem to match how many people are staying. Even when it’s busy, the pool closes early. Maintenance is another issue: the broken tap in the men’s shower has been like that for nearly three years.
These are rental and for-sale holiday homes. They’re equipped well enough and feel well used, with a few small repairs needed. It’s a place for ordinary people and their families.
