Good hotel, friendly staff, and a nice price. Room 28 has a new fridge, and there’s a kettle in the room. Bring your own tea, coffee, and milk. The location is perfect, right by the dunes and beach.

The breakfast was included and decent. The room itself was clean but basic, and I wished it had a fridge. The hotel has some nice design details for its age, though I didn’t like the wooden window: it’s either open or closed, and when it’s open there’s no curtain at that spot, so you lose your privacy. We found a way to manage it. The only other issue was flaking paint on the ceiling. I’m a bit concerned about sustainability. Could the building be updated with better insulation, or will Hotel Lakolk stay stuck in the past and become outdated?

The management and service are warm and friendly, breakfast is great, and the setting near the sea is beautiful. The rooms are simple but clean. It works for business or private events. I’ve already booked another stay and am looking forward to a nice time.

For the price, this hotel was very good: two nights with breakfast and three-course menus cost only 898 DKK.
