Det Lille Hotel

I picked this hotel because I wanted a central base while my husband was on a business trip and I took a short break to destress. It was our fourth visit to Bornholm, but our first time staying in a hotel in Rønne. The location really is central: two supermarkets are next door, there’s an electric vehicle charging station, shops and a local fitness place around the corner, and our favourite Italian restaurant, Casa Mia, which we’d just discovered, is 250m away. There’s long-term parking right in front of reception, and in summer you can sit in the garden. Our room was in the building next door, on the first floor, which suited me with all my luggage. It was spacious for two, faced the garden, and had enough furniture, free tea and coffee, and a TV that could turn towards either the bed or sofa. You can cast films from a phone or tablet, and the large sofa pulls out into an extra bed. Light didn’t disturb us, though we sometimes heard footsteps from upstairs. It wasn’t a problem. After breakfast, you get a code to enter through the door, which worked perfectly. Breakfast was okay, with a little of everything. People expecting a huge spread may be disappointed, but we found what we wanted, and not many places can make good soft-boiled eggs! Tea, coffee, and chocolate milk are free all day, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely stay here again and ask for the same room. Highly recommended!
