Keeping in mind that a vandrarhem in Scandinavia provides only limited comfort, I slept well on the comfortable new mattress. The place was quiet and close to the beach, with the city and harbour within walking distance. The service was friendly too.

The facilities are simple but comfortable, and the laid-back atmosphere worked well. There are lovely trails and beaches nearby, the town is just a stroll away, and you can hire bikes. The mini golf was fun too.

We stayed here on a school trip. It was cozy and quiet, and basically okay, but the food was a problem. There was just one meal choice, either a vegetarian or halal version, and many students went hungry because they didn’t like either. Breakfast was the same for all four days: cornflakes or yogurt and one piece of bread. A lot of people got bored with it. The place was alright apart from the food.

I loved this hostel. The rooms were clean, and the staff were wonderful and helpful. There’s a great garden and a functional kitchen with all the equipment you need. You can rent bikes, eat out on the terrace, have a barbecue, or buy local Svanneke beer. It’s fairly close to the beach too. I’d love to come back sometime.

For a hostel, my double room was alright. The breakfast was plain and basic, and cost DKK 100.
