The restaurant deserves six stars if that were possible. The food was exquisite, the wine list outstanding, and the staff did everything they could to accommodate us. Breakfast was perfectly balanced, just the right amount, and refills were there if you wanted them. The room was a bit small, and for me it wasn't dark enough, especially with the very early summer sunrise. If you're a light sleeper like me, bring a sleep mask. The bathroom was decent, but the hot water ran out after ten minutes, which they really need to fix. The hotel is good and the surroundings are beautiful, with lots of nature and opportunities for biking and hiking. There are good restaurants nearby in Ry too.

After spending our first year of marriage stuck in our apartment because of corona 😉, we planned a hiking holiday and chose Lyng Dal Hotel for our anniversary celebration. We were greeted by a warm atmosphere and wonderful staff as soon as we entered reception. Dinner was even better than we'd hoped. The flexible menu covered everything we wanted, and the staff were incredible. We enjoyed hearing where the ingredients came from, many grown in their own garden, and why each one had been picked for its dish. Anita recommended a perfect wine pairing, which we especially appreciated as wine lovers. Breakfast was just as delicious, and we'll remember the homemade malt-bread for a while. When we finished, we both wondered, as surely plenty of guests have, whether we really had to leave. It was the perfect way to celebrate our love. We'll definitely return, but for now we'll keep the memories going with a Gl. Ry Gin & Tonic and dream about another stay at this hidden gem in one of Denmark's most beautiful areas.

The welcome at this intimate, quaint inn was really personal, and dinner was a four-hour pleasure. The service and sommelier were informative, the presentation was impeccable, and the wines paired well with each course. One of the best dining experiences I've had. Don't miss it if you're in the area!

The hosts were polite and caring, and the attention to detail was unbelievably high at this family-run hotel and restaurant. Our room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the views were exceptionally good. The food was probably the best I've had in a long time. They explained the organic, home-grown ingredients both before ordering and when each dish arrived.
