I had to cancel my booking after realizing I'd missed the 300 dkk charge for a dog's one-night stay, even though this is a dog-friendly hostel. I was shocked to receive several very rude messages, even after I thanked them for cancelling and understanding. That's no way to communicate with or treat potential customers.

A lovely little hotel, and "hyggelig" really does feel like the right word for it. The owner was welcoming and very friendly, breakfast was good, and I felt at home. I'd recommend it without hesitation.

The location made exploring easy. It's just down from the docks and various restaurants, and we rented bikes from the hotel for 100 kr per day, which gave us a full day of adventure. Our room had a balcony where we could sit with wine and hear soft seagull sounds in the distance. It was also so quiet that the earplugs I'd brought for sleeping stayed unused. From the warm welcome when we arrived to the heartfelt goodbye, the staff and accommodations were perfect. Breakfast was incredible, with hot eggs and bacon, plus cold choices like yogurt and granola, hearty breads and cheese, deli meats, fruit, vegetables, and fresh-baked pastries.

The room was small, but laid out practically, with handy details like hooks and hangers. Breakfast was good, and we could eat inside or outside. The hotel is charming and almost right on the beach.
