Hotel Strandly Skagen

Breakfast really stood out: warm homemade bread, tasty dips, cheese and charcuterie, plus fresh fruit, yogurt, and other thoughtful touches. It was all fresh, beautifully served, and delicious, and you could tell the kitchen takes pride in it. The staff welcomed us right away and were attentive, friendly, and ready with useful tips about the area. The hotel has a modern Scandinavian look, with clean lines and a cozy, peaceful feel. The design seems carefully considered and balances comfort with style. We had an incredible stay and can’t recommend it enough.

The owners and staff were lovely, friendly people who were easy to talk to. The location was hard to enjoy, though. There’s a fish factory or something similar right across the street, and the smell was unbearable. With no way to ventilate the room, we had to choose between opening the window or balcony door and getting the smell, or keeping them shut and sleeping in a stifling hot room. Having to climb to the third floor without a lift made arriving and leaving unpleasant too. The price didn’t seem in line with the value offered.

We loved the room, and the beds were really comfortable. Thanks for upgrading us. It was also lovely to have the option of a kettle and tea after our walk to Grenen. The hosts were attentive and very friendly, and breakfast was delicious. Restaurants and bakeries are only a short walk away. A perfect place to stay in Skagen, and we’d love to come back.

The room and shower room were spacious, and the hotel is very pretty. We liked the crisp white tablecloths in the restaurant, the charming staff, and the tidy little garden tables. It’s central, with an easy walk to the art gallery and local restaurants. The price felt fair for the quality. We’d gladly visit again.
