We rented a canoe to spend some time on the lake, and the Manger immediately profiled us, showing nothing but disrespect and judgment. After our trip, we returned the canoe and went to the bar for a beer to finish the day. As soon as we got our drinks, the Manger accosted us, apparently assuming we were taking advantage of the establishment, then marched us to reception. I’ve never felt so profiled and disrespected at a place in my life. The tagline should be, come for the views, stay for the horrible treatment by the Manger. Come at your own risk.

The breakfast was okay, but for the price of a hotel we expected more. Our room was very small, and it wasn’t in a cabin like many of the photos suggest. We had to make our own bed. The lake wasn’t inviting for a swim, and the piers were covered in dirt and bird droppings.

Walking around the lake in the fresh air was lovely. It’s so relaxing here, just right for a nature break from the city. It took me back to middle school science camp, only with warm showers and a working kitchen.

The wedding party we attended here was really nice. The food was tasty, everything was well organized and carried out, and the views were spectacular. Our room, though, was a mess. It smelled of wet dog and didn’t improve after we left the door and windows open for hours. The hygiene bag in the toilet hadn’t been emptied, and the shower head was taped in place. Staff could seem unfriendly and unwelcoming at times, which was a pity.
