Skanderborg Park

The breakfasts were wonderful, with plenty to choose from and a nice view outside. The facilities are good, but the dinners weren't worth the price to me. It felt like I was paying for the service more than the food. See photo attached. My room was far too cold when I went in, and the only way I could warm up was with a hot shower. Even that was limited because the water temperature is capped. What really spoiled the stay was a particularly unpleasant receptionist. Each time I dealt with her or her colleagues, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. At one point I was making a request to another staff member when she cut into our conversation in a harsh tone, as if she were dealing with a criminal. As a guest, and as someone who owns short-term rental businesses, I don't want to stay here again.

The staff were outstanding, helpful and polite, and breakfast had lots of options. I was here on a business trip and had a lovely view of the lake from a calm, comfortable setting. There's a gym, sauna, two game rooms and a cute outdoor garden. My room was comfortable, though I think it could be a little bigger given the size of the hotel. My only complaint was finding a spider in the bed and getting bitten on the arm. Ouch. But I suppose that's to be expected when travelling to camp. There are several nearby markets, about a 10-minute walk to a small shopping area, and McDonald's is a 10-minute drive away. I had a great time and would definitely come back with my family and recommend it to friends.

The haddock starter at the restaurant was one of the best dishes I've ever had, and the rest of the food was delicious too. Service was great in this bright, airy place. They've thought of small extras in the room, like cotton pads, q-tips, a powerful 2000w hair dryer, and fair trade soap, shampoo and lotions.

The three-course dinner in the restaurant was one of the best I've had, and breakfast had a good selection too. My room was very comfortable, and from the moment I arrived it was a pleasure staying here. I highly recommend the hotel. Thank you.
