Good value for the price, with strong WiFi throughout the hotel and a decent breakfast. The curtains let some light into the room, so keep that in mind. Reception isn't staffed around the clock.

The service was really good, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There's also a self-service bar. Breakfast was good too. A very nice hotel.

Breakfast was a plus, with a good range of hot dishes, fruit and bread, including a section for people with allergies. The location is convenient, at an intersection a few hundred yards from the walking street, with a small Italian restaurant and McDonald's next door. Parking is free once you register your car at reception. WiFi is free as well. The downsides were the rooms, noise, and getting into the hotel in the evening. The first-floor rooms are small and dated, with narrow single beds and a small bathroom. Odd-numbered rooms face the busy road, so there's some noise. On weekends reception closes at 8, and guests have to use a two-step entry: a code for the outside door, then the room key for the inner one. When that didn't work for me, I had to wake another guest to get inside, which was very inconvenient.

The reception staff were incredibly friendly, and the rooms were a comfortable size. Air conditioning was essential in the summer heat. We were happy with the unrenovated standard room, though we'd consider a superior room if we returned in spring or fall. It was a great start to an enjoyable evening in a friendly, easygoing city that deserves a spot on any Jutland/Jylland tourist's map.
