The pool area was a highlight, with a spacious sauna and steam room. I didn’t get to swim since it was -1 outside, so I can’t say whether the pool was heated. In winter there was hardly any disturbance, which made for a quiet evening. I imagine it gets busier in spring and summer, and we’d definitely come back. There’s plenty to explore inside. The hotel is so large that my walks around it easily added 5-6 thousand steps in an hour. It also has a very spacious gym, plus a kids’ common area with pool, foosball, and table tennis. The bar and dining room were nice, and breakfast was very good. Dinner wasn’t included in our getaway deal, and at 4-500 kr it’s a little pricey, though I can see why. My wife suggested the place for a weekend away, and I was impressed as soon as we arrived. Check-in was easy, and the room we got through Hotels.com was huge. There was a little upstairs bedroom as well as the one in the main room.

The breakfast buffet was better than standard, and we enjoyed it. Our stay was good, though the hotel is old but still functional. We had to switch rooms because there was no lighting in our loft room. I do wonder how anyone is meant to use those stairs safely after dark without a lamp.

We enjoyed a really tasty, healthy buffet that gave us energy to head out and take in the beautiful landscape. Our family room had a terrace where we could sit in the evening, and access to the fitness room and swimming pool. The room did get very hot where we slept, and the hotel in general feels warm when it's hot outside. There are carpets across most of the floors. When we checked in, they offered us an upgrade for a low price. It's a nice hotel with a lot to offer, and one to experience.

The room was huge, clean, and tidy, and I had no problems during my stay. The location is beautiful, so the hotel doesn’t need to do much to impress, but it’s still a nice place.
