The owners are such kind, welcoming people, and the place felt like home from the minute I arrived. I’d come back in a heartbeat. Breakfast had a delicious range and good quality, and the shared kitchen made the stay that much easier. The service and attention were thoughtful and genuine, and you can see how much care they put into the details. Everything was just perfect.
Jens and Jane are fantastic hosts and made my stay in Slagelse so enjoyable 😎. The kitchen is a real plus, with everything you need.
The hosts were friendly, and it was peaceful while we were there. There’s also a great kitchen with two washers, several big fridges and a freezer, plus mini-golf. From the hotel, it’s a short walk along a tree-lined pedestrian path to Bilka and the amazing Antvorskov Ruins. We spotted plums, raspberries, and even cherries ready to pick and eat. With luggage, though, the 30-40 minute walk from Slagelse Station isn’t great, so I’d recommend a 5 minute, $15 Uber. You’ll probably pass H.C Andersen's old Latin school along the way. I loved the touch of seeing my name on the TV when it turned on. Slagelse is the best town in Denmark, and I’ll be back at Hotel Lillevang.
A handy spot for a short stay, and apparently there’s a tent area too, though we couldn’t tell whether it belonged to the hotel. It was easy to get to. Breakfast was okay for the price, with bread and the like, but nothing special. Our room was extremely noisy, right by the highway, and we couldn’t get a good night’s sleep.
The hosts were attentive and friendly, and the place was clean, quiet, and well equipped. Shops and bus stops are close by.
