The breakfast has a wide choice, with all sorts of fresh food and drinks, and the showers are roomy too. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, though my feet stuck out because I'm 2m tall. The hotel itself is lovely to look at and clearly well cared for. There's plenty to see and do nearby, including sightseeing, activities, and hiking or biking, so I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We arrived very late, but the receptionist was friendly and the place was nice and quiet. We got there too late for the restaurant, so we had to drive another 20 minutes to find food. The gameshop/game-pub is a real plus. It did end up a bit expensive overall.

The food was okay and the service reasonable, but the place itself felt pretty ordinary. Prices were on the high side, as they often are in Denmark. It wasn't especially expensive, just the usual level you'd expect in a country with 25% VAT.

A family member also mentioned a safety concern: at around 3:30 am, they heard someone trying to open the hotel's doors. Our room was clean when we arrived, but the bathroom hadn't been checked properly. Someone's shirt and boxer shorts were left on the radiator. The man in the lobby took the complaint well and apologized.

Just a short distance from Sorø, this traditional Danish hotel offers good value. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and breakfast was okay.
