Stoholm Vandrehjem

We had the place to ourselves, probably because we stayed midweek, and it worked well as a hotel alternative. Both our rooms and the shared areas were clean. We didn’t use the service, so I can’t say anything about it. It’s a little outside town, and there’s just one signpost, which is why I took off a star.

It was very quiet at night, and the room was clean and roomy, with a private shower bathroom and soft, comfortable beds. The Wi-Fi worked well, but the TV had no reception and there was no radio. Breakfast was brought each day rather than laid out as a buffet. The food choices were very limited, and there was generally too little butter. The location is quiet, though there’s noise pollution right beside the accommodation at the moment.

We needed a cheap overnight stop for the family while travelling, and this place did the job for the price. It’s worn, but functional. Fine for that purpose, though nothing more.

Clean and tidy, and a really good place. It’s self-service, with the key hanging on the room door and breakfast waiting in the fridge. We’d recommend it and will come back.
