Siemsens Gaard

The restaurant was a highlight for our large family group. We ate there several times and found the service and food better than anywhere else on the island, or anywhere, really. The wine selection was the icing on the cake, and the staff were exceptional. We spent several nights at the hotel while vacationing on the island. The gorgeous rooms had some of the best beds I’ve ever slept in, and the sea view was incredible. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Thanks for the memories. We’ll 100% be back, and I’d highly recommend it as a must visit.

From check-in to check-out, we felt welcome and looked after at Hotel Siemsens Gaard. The management even left us a note about a wedding that evening and kindly provided earplugs, food, and cake in case there was noise. We didn’t hear anything and slept soundly. We had an absolutely amazing weekend. It’s hard to explain how the place and its people made the room feel like home. We’ll be back.

We’ve stayed here twice. The terraced rooms were especially nice, with a small patio facing a green area. The rooms are well kept, though not modern. Breakfast was plentiful and very nice, with wonderful, attentive staff. The restaurant is good too, serving generous portions of traditional Danish and other traditional European food. A good choice for a stay, or for lunch.

The hotel buildings sit around a large rose garden where you can rest and enjoy views of the port and sea. It’s in a wonderful spot at the port of Svaneke. The rooms are clean and nice, though not luxurious, and the good breakfast buffet is served in the pleasant restaurant.
