Hotel Ærø - Svendborg

We came with my family and partner because we were getting married on a nearby island, and being right by the ferry worked out really well. The staff were helpful, and we enjoyed the restaurant. Our rooms had a quaint, very classical feel. There's also a lovely Italian restaurant next door. Parking can be tricky, though the staff can point you toward spaces.

What made our stay so meaningful was how the staff looked after us on our wedding day. Their care, warmth, and empathy meant a lot, and we're incredibly grateful. Before we arrived, they kindly answered all our questions and requests. Once we checked in, champagne and fruit were waiting in the room, and the suite was cozy and clean. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including meats, cheeses, müsli, breads, eggs, and Danish pastries. My husband and I stayed at Hotel Ærø for our wedding visit, and we'll be back for years to come.

The staff were really friendly, and the hotel was spotless and tidy. I liked the classic room design, the space for our luggage, and the harbour feel while still being close to the city. See you next time.

The beds were comfortable, the cotton bedding was clean, and breakfast was great. The reception and entrance felt welcoming, and the receptionist and other staff were friendly and helpful. Its position is ideal if you're travelling to or from æro, as we were. The rooms have an appealing old world charm, but ours on the top floor was in poor shape and below par for cleanliness. The bathroom needs a serious deep clean or renovation. For a 3* hotel, it only just meets that standard.
