Knaplund Destillery

We went as part of a company team event and tasted everything they made. The burgers were the best thing they offered. After taking the tour, I don't think the distillery claim holds up: they import pure alcohol and distill it with a flavor inducer, so they could skip the distilling and just filter their "hand craft" brews. Don't buy anything here. Even the gin isn't allowed to taste like gin. Just go to Stauning instead.

Really nice place, with a wild-west theme.

See the Longhorn cattle, tour the distillery, shop for some of their many bottles, or join one of the many events. The place has Texas-style buildings, old cars, and lots of decor. They make some very nice alcohol, and you may be able to taste it at the bar before buying. During events, the bar serves drinks made with their own alcohol, along with wine, beer, and soft drinks. The drinks lean sweet, like lemonade, and taste okay, but it's hard to taste the alcohol in them. I'd prefer cocktails such as an Old Fashioned where you can enjoy the alcohol they make. Definitely worth a visit.

As a group, we visited “Knaplund Destilleri Aps” and came away happy. The owners showed us around and were generous with what they know about making gin, whiskey, and rum 🍹 We'd love to visit again this summer and see their Longhorn Cow 🐮
