It was OK.

A nice place.
This has absolutely nothing to do with a beach hotel. They gave us a bed to sleep in, but the noise woke us several times during the night and the curtains were see-through. The room was quite nice, but it felt like a decorated corpse. We definitely won’t come back.
The old seaside hotel from 1829 is being neglected, and the owner came across as arrogant. We booked one night, Saturday to Sunday, at Klitmøller Badehotel, but first had to collect our keys at reception about 2 km away. The hotel itself was run-down, the hallways smelled dirty, and the room was furnished without much thought. There was a cheap muesli bar on each pillow and a bag of cheese pops on the table. We had booked a room with a shower and toilet, but they were only in the hallway. We raised this with the owner, Jesper Birch. Our reservation said they should be in the room, but he didn’t apologize. The hotel was full, he said, so there was nothing he could do. He mocked us, saying we couldn’t have expected a room with shower and toilet for 795 kr. Instead of staying the night, we cut our holiday short and went home. Klitmøller Badehotel felt more like a hostel than a beach hotel.
The first thing you see is a note on the door saying check-in is at a restaurant 1.5 km away. Calling this place Klitmøller beach hotel makes a mockery of the beach hotel idea. The dirty windows made a bad first impression, along with the smell of sweat and hash. The ceilings were worn in several places, the indoor climate was poor, and the insulation was so bad that outside noise and slamming doors became deafening. A huge disappointment. Oop oop oop.
