We had a truly memorable stay in this quiet town. The historic feel of the building gave it a special atmosphere, and the staff were attentive and incredibly friendly. If your budget allows, I highly recommend the restaurant’s dinner course menu. The locally sourced dishes were simple but full of flavor, and the wine pairings were carefully chosen and excellent.

The food was delicious and well prepared, and I enjoyed hearing the story behind each dish on the 5-course ‘Serveringer’ menu. But the pauses between courses felt too long. I’d booked for 18:30, and finishing the full meal at 21:50 left me a bit tired. I can’t help wondering how long the 7-course menu takes 🤣🤣

The hotel is lovely, with charming rooms on the cobblestone town street and Schackenborg Castle’s gardens just a stone throw away. Everyone on staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. When we’re in this region, we won’t stay anywhere else.

There’s friendly service at this small, unassuming hotel, set across a few old houses along the main street. The rooms are tiny but comfortable and nicely decorated. The restaurant’s local food is excellent, with a good range of wines to go with it. Prices are on the higher side.

We had a wonderful time hosting our small wedding party here, even though there were only 8 of us and we still got a private room. The setting is very classic and just right for an occasion like that. The staff were friendly, accommodating and professional. We had coffee and cake as well as dinner, and both were delicious Danish food. Thank you!
