There are plenty of nice things to look at, and the hotel is okay. The rooms are small, with no ventilation or air conditioning. Breakfast was very basic and quite expensive. 100DKK for a bun with sweaty cheese wasn't worth it, so get breakfast elsewhere. There are plenty of good places to eat in Denmark.

The restaurant food was good, and we had a pleasant stay in the end. We booked on a whim and found a cozy old castle. The receptionist was very nice and found us a good room, though it could use some restoration, including paint and a new carpet. The waiters were very young and inexperienced, probably because the senior staff were needed for a wedding at the hotel. On arrival, the strong smell from the pig farm next door shocked us a bit, but we hardly noticed it for the rest of the stay.

The building and its history are interesting, but this was by far the worst hotel I've stayed in. Flies were everywhere in the hotel, restaurant and my room. I barely slept, and at about 05:00 I finally gave up and left the room to spend some time outside. The food was average and far too expensive. I visited Vraa Slotshotel in Tylstrup last week. First visit, and definitely my last.
