Room 4 worked really well for our family: it had two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and bunk above it, and the other with a king bed. The living room sofa could also be used as a bed, and there were spare pillows and sheets. The property had plenty of toys for the kids, and Elisa was warm and made sure we had what we needed. Legoland is very close. It’s a beautiful place, and we wished we’d booked a few more days. I’d recommend it for a family staying in Billund for a couple of nights.

There’s loads for children here, from toys in the shared dining and sitting area to ride-on tractors, swings and a bouncy castle. Aagaarden is very clean and kept to a high standard. We stayed in an upstairs room-only unit, so there was no kitchen, though we did have a small fridge. If you pay extra for breakfast, you can use the hot and cold drinks machines throughout your stay. It’s a lovely quiet rural spot with fields and cows, away from the bustle of the legoland holiday village. You’ll need a car to get around, or you can hire bikes. The ride into town takes about 20 minutes, with excellent cycle lanes separated from road traffic. I’d recommend it if you like a peaceful setting.

It’s a peaceful place to come back to after a noisy day at Legoland, and it’s reasonably priced for Denmark. Families have lots of outdoor space and toys, plus a big dining area where you can make snacks and eat. Billund centre is about five minutes away, and Legoland is a couple more kilometres beyond that. A great base for a visit.

Elisa is a great host and owner. The place is simple and basic, but has enough for what you need, with lovely nature all around. It’s a really good spot for families with kids. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks so much :)
