The pool area was shabby and crowded, and access to the sports facilities was limited. The rooms are tiny, with small, uncomfortable beds. The kitchen barely has the basics, not even a pair of scissors in the drawer. Though the apartments are new and clean, they feel very basic. There’s no air-conditioning, and in summer the dark building, metal roofs and huge windows make it unbearable.

We waited almost an hour before we could get into our room, and when we finally did, it wasn’t clean at all. The breakfast was nice, though, and the sports complex is fantastic, with pools and a sauna for unwinding after a day out. It’s a good place for a short family stay.

The hostel is a good base if you want to use the large sports centre right next door. Day passes for all the sports are available at a good price. There isn’t really anything nice to see in the city itself.
