The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, and its three restaurants serve different kinds of food, making it a nice place to spend time. The room was clean, though not what I’d expected, and the breakfast had limited choice but was still delicious. I’ll definitely come back.

We stayed here in March 2025, and the noise made it impossible for me to recommend the hotel unless you’re there to party all night. Loud music plays in the large dining and lounge area, and the bass carried into our room all night, until around 3 a.m. The receptionist said there was nothing he could do and that the noise was likely the same in every room. The next morning, a different receptionist apologized after hearing what happened, but offered no refund for the sleepless night. The hotel surrounds a big dining area with three restaurants and a bar, and it looks nice. Check-in went smoothly once we found the place and got our key. Finding it was difficult, though. GPS takes you to the building, but there are no signs for the hotel or reception entrance. There was construction going on, so they should have put up a temporary sign. Management was disappointing.

The manager on duty was professional, apologized, listened to my concerns and did what he could to help. His effort was the only reason I raised this from what would have been a one-star review, but it didn’t undo a very stressful and disappointing stay. The problems began at check-in, when I was told my reserved room had been given to someone else. After a long wait, I was assigned another room, only to find it was occupied too. On my third trip to the desk, the clerk took a key card and walked with me to a different room, knocking first to check that it was empty. That left me seriously concerned about the hotel’s room management. The next day, my key card had been deactivated, so I had to return to reception again and wondered if my room had been assigned to someone else once more. At that last visit, I saw my colleagues receiving bar vouchers and asked for one after the issues I’d had. I was told I could only get the 10% voucher if I gave my email for marketing. Making a service recovery gesture conditional on marketing consent was unacceptable. Breakfast was also very poor for what I’d expect from a 4-star hotel. These repeated failures point to wider problems with management and operations, and I hope the hotel reviews its processes.

The location is great, just across from the bus station, and breakfast was amazing. Our room was beside the church, whose bell rang hourly, as I remember, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. There was also outside noise at night, so it may not suit families with small children. The room had blinds and a curtain rail but no curtains, which would have made it cosier and helped cut some noise. The seal around the bath was mouldy and needs attention, as it seems badly designed.
