Cabinn Vejle

For what was offered, I thought the total price was too high: about €95 at the end of September, plus parking. For just one night it might be okay, and you can check in after midnight if you pay in advance. Parking was a bit far away and expensive. I had to go back twice to put a piece of paper inside, and paid around €11 for the night. The room and bed were very small, though clean and functional. The breakfast buffet felt too small for the size of the hotel, with a long queue. I also felt watched by staff because there were two cameras inside. As soon as I sat down, a woman said the food I’d taken seemed suspicious and that she thought I wanted to take some home. I had no lunch box or even a bag with me. It felt strange and intrusive. They could put more effort into the choices, for example, there was waffle batter but no waffle maker. Then perhaps people would have something worth taking home, and staff could keep an eye on guests.

We’ve stayed here several times, just me, with my wife, and with our kids, and we always enjoy it. The location in Vejle is really nice. Staff are consistently kind and professional, both at reception and in the breakfast area. Parking behind the hotel can be paid through the hotel, which is very convenient. The rooms are fairly large, with space for our suitcases on the floor. Breakfast is fine, with coffee, bread and some hot dishes.

A simple, nice option when all you need is somewhere to sleep. The room was in good condition and had what I needed, and breakfast was okay for the price. A good budget choice for a night.

For a reasonably priced place with its own shower room and a desk to work at, this does the job well. It isn’t a luxury hotel, but the CABINN in Vejle is comfortable, has larger than average rooms and sits next to the train station. They’re renovating at the moment, and having stayed in both the old and new rooms, I can say the new ones are a step up. Breakfast is okay, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There’s also a discount card for nearby cafes and restaurants, plus the gym next door.
