I was ignored from the moment I arrived until I got in my car to leave, except when it was time to pay. The young woman I spoke to on the phone had been friendly and helpful, but the young staff at the residence seemed untrained and weren't encouraged to be warm or connect with guests. Taking pride in the place should include making sure staff know to welcome people. The owner could set that example, maybe by saying hello, or even offering a fresh fried egg or an espresso like the one pictured in the breakfast cottage. A greeting costs nothing. Is this Denmark, or just a grumpy owner trying to cut corners and save money? You get two stars because I think you can do better in the future. The breakfast was not fresh. On the second day, I found the same butter, still marked by the knife where I'd taken some the day before. Had it been kept refrigerated like that overnight? The coffee seemed at least a day old, so I poured it down the gutter outside. The rolls looked like they'd been dampened and baked again to crisp them up, and the biscuits and crackers were stale. I also wondered whether the boiled eggs on the plate were the ones from the day before. While I sat in a sun chair thinking about the awful breakfast and how the first morning had made me think the food was fresh, the owner came by with keys dangling from her trousers to check whether staff had cleaned the breakfast cottage. She looked straight through me and slouched off to inspect some rooms. No greeting, no smile, nothing.

In central Viborg, this is a really cute, homely B&B with a quaint little garden and an inexpensive breakfast. Definitely recommend!

Everything felt old, the room was small, and the beds were bad and worn. There were no fresh sheets or towels, cleaning was poor, and the air conditioning didn't work well. Breakfast was limited too, so the price felt far too high. I'd recommend finding somewhere better to stay, like Pallads.

A great setting and location for a visit to Viborg. It's close to the center but far enough away to stay quiet. Give it a go. Neil UK.
