Vorbasse Camping

We planned to stop at Vorbasse Camping for just one night on the way to Norway, but ended up staying three because we enjoyed it so much. The pitches are now much more spacious, making for a comfortable and private stay. Since the current owners took over about two years ago, they’ve been doing a lot to modernize and upgrade the site. There’s plenty to do, including mini golf, and the shop has a good range of supplies, plus fresh bread and pastries each morning. The campsite is well placed for visiting the area, especially the now famous Lego Land resort. The owners are lovely and accommodating, and really make an effort to keep guests happy. I’ll definitely be back.

A friendly place to stay when visiting Billund, with Legoland and legohouse both within a 15-minute drive. The pitches are large, the price is friendly compared with other campsites, and there are lots of activities for children. There are big playgrounds beyond the annual pitches, free Skelters for the kids, and a free pool across the road, just ask when it’s open. Everywhere is clean, and the kitchen and seating area are heated all year. They also organize plenty of fun things for children.

The staff were great, and the site is close to LEGOLAND, so it worked well for our two days at the park. There are 11kW EV chargers by reception, charged by the kWh.

We were cycling without gas stoves, so the very well equipped kitchen was a welcome surprise, with plenty of hobs and ovens. The tent pitches were nice, and the kids had a playground and go-carts. Reception was friendly, the site was well kept, and the price was reasonable. The sanitary block was clean, though the men's urinal smelled a bit. You also get a free ticket for the pool across the road. A good base for Legoland, about 15 km away, or 45 minutes by bike.
