Hotel Salinas

The food we eventually took away was delicious, and the pool area has lovely views with a nice layout. But we waited more than an hour and a half, then got the wrong dishes. The server had lost her papers and asked what we'd ordered, and staff seemed unsure where outgoing orders were meant to go. It was awkward to watch and the service was terrible. The property could use maintenance and updating too, especially the restrooms, where the stalls don't even have locks. I didn't stay at the hotel, just came for the pool and restaurant.

Everything runs on vacation time here, so don't come in a rush. The view and amenities are really nice, and after a day of sightseeing you can stretch out in a hammock or nap on one of the many comfy couches. Best food in town, too. 😁

The place never feels crowded, and the landscape is spectacular. I've been eating here several times over the last 6 years, including on every visit to Bani. Some other reviewers mention slow kitchen service, but I haven't had that experience. There are different areas for families, weddings, and romantic gatherings.
