We were grateful they let us leave our bags before check-in, and the room was comfortable for the price, with two beds, a mini fridge and a decent-sized flat-screen TV. The service was great. We called to check for rooms during a big event weekend and were told they were fully booked, but they took our number in case someone canceled. Less than 30 minutes later, they called back with two rooms available.
My parents, who are in their 80s, were shipwrecked while sailing down to the Dominican Republic, and the people here helped them out. They said the staff were the nicest people, and they enjoyed their long-term rental while their boat was being repaired. I highly recommend supporting this wonderful hotel.
The rooms are tiny, and the bathroom leaves almost no room to sit on the toilet. There was no hot water when I showered late in the evening. It's very noisy. Free parking is available, but the lot is very small.
Clean place, good bed, and the price matches the quality. There was no hot water, and the railway made a lot of noise. It's sugarcane season.
