Tamarindo Residence

Dominicus beach is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen, with an amazing turquoise color and a family-friendly feel, plus a good depth for swimming. The residence is about 600mts from the beach. Some people walk, but we drove, which took roughly three minutes. The town is really enjoyable, with good restaurants like Da Manuel pizzeria near the beach, and you can have fun at the casino or in Bayahibe. We enjoyed our stay, loved the beach and the town. The property is beautiful and has lots of restrictive rules, though. You can’t eat in the pool area, not just in the pool itself, and dogs aren’t allowed. I don’t go to hotels that don’t take pets, which is different from some Airbnbs. Loud music in the pool area isn’t allowed either, so a pool party isn’t an option. It’s better for relaxing than having much fun. We would have liked to have more fun at the property.

The garden is beautiful, and looking out at it from the place is lovely. There are three pools inside. It’s close to a small commercial center with a supermarket, pharmacy and a couple of restaurants. There’s also a nice, inexpensive gym nearby called skull gym. The beach is close too, about an eight-minute walk.

The setting feels peaceful, and the apartments are cozy. Really nice pools, too.

This was a letdown. I found two cockroaches and a spider in my room, which made the place feel more like a jungle than an apartment.
