Hotel Garant & Suites

We only needed a room for a few hours before our late flight, and the hotel was perfect for that. It’s about 12 minutes from SDQ airport. The room was clean and smelled nice, and the air conditioning was ice cold. We’ve never felt pillows that good. We didn’t get to try the pool, but sat nearby with ice cold Gatorade from the bar. They also arranged a taxi to the airport for us. We gave the front desk gentleman a pickup time, and the taxi was ready when we woke from our nap. We’ll definitely come back, hopefully for longer next time. Keep up the great hospitality, hotel garant!

We stayed two nights after a much-needed family trip, and I was surprised by how much was included for a fair price: breakfast, a pool, and AC. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was big with hot water, which mattered since my six-year-old isn’t keen on cold showers. Nights were peaceful. The room also had a fridge, safe, table, and chair. There’s a pool table and a couple of gym machines by the pool, and they play decent music. The whole place is locked up, and you get a key for it along with your room key.

It’s a small, older hotel with no elevator, and the internet was the one drawback for me. Still, the price is very reasonable, and you get prompt, personal service. The property is well maintained and clean, with hot water and professional staff who treat you like family. The owner lives there. It’s about two blocks from the beach, close to transportation, and you can walk there away from the tourist and vendor bustle. I’d recommend it and would stay again.

The free breakfast has about eight options, and I’d happily stay here again next time I’m in Boca Chica. The rooms and hotel are well kept, and the staff are attentive and responsive. It’s around three blocks from the beach and the main street’s restaurants and bars, while still feeling safe and secure.
