I went to Lufestyles Cabarete and loved the location. It has more of an air B^B feel than a resort. It’s not all inclusive, but there’s a kitchenette and Janet's Supermarket is only a 2 minute walk away. The beach life is great, and the hotel restiraunts are good. Lots of people had pizza, though I didn’t try it. The beach is across the street, with plenty of restaurants along it.

We had a three-bedroom, three-bathroom unit for four people, with lots of room, and the cleaners did an amazing job. Room service was excellent, the food options were good and very reasonably priced, and the place is right on the beach. Cafes, restaurants, a grocery store, and street vendors selling fresh fruit are all within walking distance. There are pools on both sides of the street. The beach side has music during the day, while the other side is quieter, so there’s a choice. The beach side does get street noise from lots of cars and trucks, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. Our kitchen had a small sink, a four-burner gas cooktop, microwave, and full fridge/freezer, but no oven. Plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, and cutlery were provided. We were missing some basics, including a dish rack, dish cloths, can opener, scissors, pots, larger bowls for salads, and a toaster. They supplied dish soap, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower and beach towels, toilet paper, and paper towels. I’d recommend it.

Renter beware. I had a terrible experience with the staff. At the last minute, they switched my room from the beach side to the pool side, supposedly because of air conditioning issues. Another platinum guest told us that was a lie and the whole beach side was booked, so I don’t know if I was double booked. For two days we had no toilet paper, and the staff were very hard to deal with. You have to buy new towels if you want them, which is okay, but at check-in they warn you that missing towels will mean a charge. When we got new towels, they gave us four fewer than we needed and wouldn’t provide the rest, saying we had the do not disturb sign up. Yet they had left all the other towels outside our door. Trash wasn’t picked up regularly and sat outside the door. There were also massive ants and ROACHES. I know it’s a beach resort, but I think the trash problem is causing the bugs. I’ll never stay here again. Hope this helps.

We stayed at Imperial Suites Cabarete with friends and really enjoyed it. The room was first class, right on the beach, and the service was excellent. It’s a short walk to restaurants, bars, nightlife, plus a nearby grocery store and pharmacy. Beautiful setting.
