Viva Tangerine by Wyndham, A Trademark All Inclusive

The beach was outstanding, clean, and safe, and we walked there every day. From the beach it was an easy 1 km walk to town and the many restaurants along the shore. There weren’t enough loungers or shady spots, though. Sun umbrellas would help, especially on wedding days, when the shaded area was cordoned off all day for a ceremony at 5-6 pm. We spent 14 days here. Our all together room was big, which was a plus, but the AC didn’t work properly for the first eight days. I asked the front desk to fix it every day for eight days in a row in Rm 1425. The maintenance manager got it working on the eighth day, thank you, and they gave us a complementary massage for the inconvenience. We had a view of trees and nothing else, so we didn’t use the balcony. The all together rooms are at the back of the resort with poor views, so don’t choose one if you want a view. The rooms are dilapidated and need renovating, though some rooms were being renovated during our stay.

The cats were lovely, the staff were great, and the beach view was beautiful, but we can’t recommend the place and won’t return. We preferred the quiet pool and small “jacuzzi pool” because the main pool had lots of people and kids. There were plenty of vendors on the beach, so we mostly stayed by the pools. The music was nice, but could be loud late into the night; the pool dance and exercise entertainers were nice. Food and rooms were just okay. Some buffet dishes were amazing, while others were overcooked or undercooked. The cappuccinos were amazing. Don’t waste time on the “free” timeshare meal, it was the same food as the buffet. One shower light was dead, and two small blue lights in the bedroom were so bright we had to cover them with a bandaid and a piece of paper to sleep. The AC was either on or off, with no setting in between, so parts of the room could get quite chilly or warm.

Morning yoga with Kathy from NGR2Go was a favorite, and the silent disco was really fun too. The animators were awesome and the shows were fantastic. We loved bocce ball, bingo, and beach volleyball. Food was 10/10, service was always excellent, and the coffee was soooo good.

The beach was 10/10, just a couple of steps from the pool, and we liked being able to walk along it or into town. The entertainment team was great and there was always something happening. Staff were absolutely phenomenal, friendly, and provided great service. The rooms were basic and could use some TLC, but they were very clean. The buffet was decent, the à la cartes were great, and the drinks were good. There was only one bar, sometimes another by the pool, so there could be a line. The cappuccinos were to die for. I was skeptical after reading mixed Google reviews, but we booked anyway and I’m so happy we did. We enjoyed our stay!
