The friendly receptionist was helpful, the WiFi worked well, and you can refill your water for free. I also liked the view from the rooftop balcony. It’s very central and close to the Caribe Tours station. On the downside, the place was dirty, the rooms felt outdated, and the shower was cold. Traffic noise comes right into the rooms. Although it’s called a hostel, it didn’t have a backpacker atmosphere. I probably wouldn’t stay again, though one night is manageable.

A friendly receptionist went out of his way to help, and the location is excellent, close to the centre. A double room cost USD 25.

The owner is an interesting gentleman to talk with, and the kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook. It’s near central park and the carbie tours bus terminal, and there are great suggestions for tourist attractions. The place can get a little noisy because it’s right in the center, but it didn’t disturb my sleep. A good choice for a short stay.

You can get a dorm room for just 800 pesos, and the location is central. But the room and kitchen were dirty, the staff weren’t very friendly, and noise from motorbikes and parties kept me from sleeping well.

The hostel itself wasn’t the nicest or prettiest I’ve stayed in, but the staff were the best I’ve met at any hostel. They made me feel like family and set up tours to the nearby landmarks.
