Coopmarena Beach Resort

There were lots of amenities, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. It was a great place to stay overall. The WiFi didn't work well, and I wish the pool stayed open later.

Room 10, July 5-6, 2022. The lights were all 5000K LEDs, giving the room the feel of a dentist's office. There were flies everywhere when I arrived, and the AC couldn't cool the room to a comfortable 19 degrees for sleeping. I asked reception for a fan or for maintenance to fix the AC, but apparently there wasn't a working fan anywhere in the resort. The maintenance guy more or less said, "This is as cold as the room gets." When I asked reception about a discount or refund, they said they couldn't do that and I needed to speak with the manager. Check-in also took around 15 minutes because the printer was having trouble.

I liked the food a lot, and the airport is very close. But I went in summer, when lots of teachers vacation there since it's basically their resort, so breakfast, lunch, and dinner lines can get long. They do have snacks, which is nice, but to get snacks or other food you have to go across the street. The beach is okay, though I wouldn't pick this place if spending lots of time at the beach is the goal.

We enjoyed the food, pools, and beach, but the rooms were a letdown. The first one smelled moldy. In the second, in Las Palmas, the bathroom light was very dim, the beds were hard and dirty, and the old TVs had no remotes. The balcony door wouldn't shut all the way, and the rusty refrigerator door didn't close tightly either. I wouldn't come back.
