The beach is only a short walk away, and the place is secure and quiet. Manfred and his wife were lovely, welcoming hosts, and he speaks Spanish, English, German, and maybe more. We were glad we stayed. Each room has a shower, plus there are private outdoor showers for rinsing off sand and saltwater. There’s also an outdoor kitchen and secure parking, and the rooms have good A/C and a fridge. He opens the onsite bar during the busier times of the season. It’s an older place and doesn’t look like much from the street, but it turned out to be a good choice.

We stayed two nights and had a good time. The rooms look better in person, the AC works great, and the host is helpful. It’s a quiet spot in a great location, with fancy restaurants and street food nearby.

Manfred checked in with us several times to see if we needed anything, and was very helpful. The location is great, and we could walk barefoot to and from the beach. We found Guesthouse Lucy Rooms at a great price, with everything we needed. It was peaceful and quiet, even on Saturday night. When we can make it back to DR, this is where we plan to stay.
