Meridiana Residence

For two weeks, I had a fantastic stay here, and it was great value. The beach is right across the street, and the view from my room's balcony was breathtaking. The accommodations were comfortable, and the property was quiet, clean, and secure. Staff were attentive and very helpful.

Juan Dolio is a laid-back beach area. I can imagine gangsters hiding out here, since nobody would find you. The place itself is like staying at your old grandparents' house: clean and functional, but dated and older than you are. It's like they never grew up with high-speed internet and don't see a reason to have it. Most of the people staying here are grandparents, so I guess there's no reason to change anything. Lol.

It's unbelievable that they make money here but don't clean the front of the hotel. There's garbage and debris everywhere, including plastic and bottles, and you can hardly walk around the area. The beaches are just as dirty. Everywhere you go in Juan Dolio, it's like this.

After five stays, I'm done. It gets worse every time: the cleaning is poor, and cockroaches are all over the place. The bathroom setup is a calamity. The AC is the worst: one unit looks old and barely works, while the other looks brand new but doesn't work at all. There's no detergent to wash the dishes, and they charge a lot per night during high season. I won't come back or recommend it. Adios.
