The ocean view is amazing, and I loved this hotel in Santa Cruz, Barahona. The restaurant could use more choices, especially typical Dominican food, and breakfast is limited. Still, this place is a paradise!

It’s a very relaxing place to stay, with gorgeous views and nice rooms. The pool is small but pleasant, though there’s no hot tub. The minibar only has water, and the alcohol tasted a little watered down to me. There’s no beach right there. San Raphael Beach is really pretty, about an hour to the north west, but it’s all rocks and no sand. The trip to the magnetic pole was really cool. The food was good, and I recommend staying here.

I didn’t enjoy the food, and I wouldn’t return. The hotel is okay, but it’s in the middle of nowhere and there isn’t much to do. The nearby beach is covered in little stones instead of sand, and they feel awful underfoot. The pool is always full of bugs.

The view is the best part of this cozy little place in the southwest of the Dominican Republic. Check-in made us feel right at home, and we liked the food and pool. It’s very clean, the beds are comfortable, the rooms have air conditioning, pets are welcome, and there’s plenty of parking. I’ve stayed here six times for work, and came back for a family vacation. I’ll definitely return.
