The location is amazing, and we loved our stay enough that we'd definitely come back. Walk past the banana plantation to reach the beautiful beach behind it. There's a small tide pool on the beach that's great for kids, plus the hotel has a huge pool and a separate kids' pool. The rooms have a permanent style and include a kitchenette. For me, the bed matters most. This one was a little too hard for my taste, and the pillows were too fluffy. I prefer memory foam pillows, which hotels usually don't provide. I could've asked for extra pillows, though, so that's on me. Breakfast is a full Dominican meal, freshly cooked and so generous you'll be too full to walk. The coffee is amazing, and they bring freshly squeezed juice and freshly cut local fruit. Definitely not a continental breakfast, so come hungry.

We had a great first visit, and Yecenia gave us excellent attention during a check-in that impressed us. The rooms feel like little apartment suites, with kitchenettes that have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool is a good size and always clean, with a jacuzzi and a small pool for kids. The restaurant has plenty of choices. We tried the seafood pasta, palomilla steak with onions, and seasoned crab meat. Every dish was delicious and very affordable. Oasi Encantada Beach Resort is a nice, clean, cozy place to stay.

It took over two hours for our food to arrive, and one person in our party eventually had to go into the kitchen and get it. The waiter was the only one who did a great job. Everyone else was awful, spending most of the time on their phones doing nothing. When we raised it with the manager, she blamed everyone else, even though her own way of handling things was the biggest problem. This was the worst service I've had in my life, and the worst place I've been. Please avoid it if you can. I'll never come back.

We had a good time using the pool and ordering food. The beer was a little warm at first, but the waiter brought us a very cold one the next time.
