The views from the hill are the highlight, with the ocean, mountains, and town spread out below. The staff were truly kind and made me feel at home, and the older building has plenty of charm, especially its staircase and local wood details. I enjoyed the small pool after exploring Las Terrenas. The driveway is steep, but the quiet and scenery at the top make it worthwhile. A memorable, distinctive stay in a gorgeous beach town on the Dominican Republic’s north coast.

The staff's warmth is a big part of what makes this place special, and the view is incredible. The Castillo has so much character, with nature all around the property, while still being close to everything. I absolutely recommend it for a delightful stay.

This was a truly memorable holiday in the Dominican Castle, the kind of unique stay you’ll remember for years. The ocean views are beautiful, the breakfast is lovely and made to order, and everything was exceptionally clean. Highly recommend for a winter getaway 💛

The staff we paid were good, but the Castillo Romano itself is in very poor condition. The pool and the area around the property were dirty, and the rooms and bathrooms were also in bad shape. Guests weren't given basic comfort. The towels, shower head, furniture, and utilities all need replacing. If you're planning a vacation, please don't stay at Castillo Romano.

The made-to-order breakfast was a full complimentary meal, and the staff were very friendly. The place was clean and quiet. Though it’s in town, it sits high on a hill, so you don’t get the city noise. A great place to stay.
