Hotel Casa Pierretta

I had five pairs of earrings in my luggage, and the only pair that went missing was the one I later saw the cleaner wearing. She was the only person cleaning the room. When I confronted her, she took them off. Alexandra asked what had happened, so I explained and showed her my jewelry box. She even wondered why the cleaner would take them off if she said they were hers. I handed the earrings to Alexandra because I wasn't going to wear something someone else had worn. I let her keep them, hoping she'd learn that she could ask instead of taking things. The owner's son also noticed that the earrings were definitely mine, and when you've bought something with your own money, you recognize it. I never said I wouldn't accept a credit or a free stay at another hotel. At the time, I was too upset to think clearly, and a woman offered me a stay at her hotel for the same rate I was paying. That wasn't a free stay, though. I would like the credit we discussed, and I hope you can answer my booking agent, who's been trying to reach you without success. Thanks for replying to my message, but please respond to the agent's calls and approve the refund if you can. I don't want to accuse anyone falsely.

Las Terrenas is a noisy town, with those loud motorbikes, but the hotel sits about five minutes from the main road, so it was a nice place to come back to. The host was lovely and spoke English too. I stayed four nights during a three-week trip, choosing mostly three-star hotels to keep costs reasonable instead of staying in hostels. For the price, Hotel Pierretta was my best choice in the Dominican Republic. The room was in very good condition, felt like European quality, and even had a brand-new air conditioner. Highly recommended.

The room was lovely, clean, and quite spacious. The area was clean too. I just hope it's a bit easier to get around in a wheelchair next time I visit.

It's quiet and in a very good location, and the owners and staff were all really friendly and helpful. The price feels great for the quality. I'd definitely recommend it.
