The pool music was so loud that I had to ask reception to turn it down. The hotel itself was pretty okay, but the booking was difficult because of the language barrier. Breakfast wasn't worth it: the coffee was fine, but the food was bland and the menu seemed inconsistent depending on occupancy.

The place might have been great with better maintenance. We were moved three times: the air conditioning failed in the first two rooms, and although it worked in the third, the room didn't feel secure because the windows wouldn't close properly. The room and bathroom also felt dirty. The first two rooms were in much better shape, but their AC still didn't work properly. One gentleman did try to help accommodate us, but the property's poor condition made it difficult.

The hotel was clean and had a lot of potential, but the service was horrible. I arrived an hour before check-in and understood that I had to wait. Once check-in time came, it took over an hour to get checked in, then they gave me the wrong room and I waited about another 30 minutes for the right one. Nobody on staff spoke English, which made things challenging, though I was patient because I speak other languages. They need better management. I feel sorry for them, because Americans expect great customer service when we spend our money.

I only stayed half a night because my flight was at 6 a.m., and the hotel is 15 minutes from Las Americas. The location is handy, with the National Aquarium, bars, restaurants, and a hotel-owned club nearby. Staff were very nice and always answered my questions. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, were very clean, but the building seemed poorly maintained and could look much better from the outside. I slept less than three hours because the bed was uncomfortable, and adjusting the AC didn't make it blow much cold air. The pool and jacuzzi are nice, with lots of greenery for photos. They bring food to your room for 200 DOP, but it was pricey and not very tasty. I don't think I'd stay here again.
