Stay in the village to see more of what Saona has to offer. The room was clean and comfortable. Roberto and Juan were always ready to help, and the inn has a simple, charming feel. A must-stop when visiting Saona.

Juan and Maria made the stay for me. They’re incredibly helpful, and whenever something came up on the island, I could call Juan, relax, and he’d find a solution. The lodge is cozy, cute and handmade. Juan also offers lots of things to use for free, like bicycles, a surfing board and snorkeling gear. You can order food if it’s available, and groups can ask him about boat excursions. I could say more, but I’ll leave the rest for anyone who wants to try it. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had, maybe the best.

We still think fondly about our time at CasaJuan, and the service was lovely even with the language barrier. We’d return without hesitation. Some of the negative reviews make it sound like people expected Ibiza. This is a remote island with lots of rules and restrictions, so don’t come expecting luxury. It’s a raw experience, and we absolutely loved it.

Everything you need is just a few steps away, including the beach. The island’s flora and beaches are fascinating, and the whole place feels like home. Casa Mano Juan is basic, but really nice. The owner and crew are kind and provide what you need for a good stay. They serve drinks and delicious food at a good price, and you can rent a scooter or bike. We’d highly recommend this Airbnb. I think it’s the best on the island. Don’t look elsewhere, just book Casa Mano Juan ♥️
